My #1!

Guysss!

Yanno that #1 on your list Pyrex 'want' list?!

I finally got mine! A beautiful, shiny Spirograph.

She's oh so pretty. {Please ignore the water ring - I live with 3 boys who don't know how to use coasters!}

Now some other new beauties acquired:

I've always loved the black & purple combo in the Midnight Bloom - gorgeous! And finally found a Bluebird!

I also found this sweet yellow-ish/gold piece {no idea what it's called! - I've seen "Gold Garland" & "Gold Bouquet"...neither of which I believe are true} & a minty Balloons 444!

Also, my new favorite size is the 471...how sweet are they stacked up?

And now, just because I have never seen one before...a Blue Chip Week! I couldn't afford it's $65 price tag - but still cool to see in the wild!

So...what's #1 on your list? :)

xoxo,

  2. Spirograph is near if not on top! I have a ballon on the way, so I think the 401 from that set will move ahead for now. Also I want a lasagna pan and all delphite. And, I want to keep filling in my horizon blue collection. Oh and I need the base for the crazy quilt.

I can't choose just one! Lol

    Awesome finds!

    1. Thanks! The Spiro is so gorgeous in person! The green is printed on the back of the lid, and the blue on the top of the lid. Never realized that until actually looking at one! I'm on the hunt for a Ocean Filigree lid...the base I have is so lonely!

  4. Wow...what great finds. Some of those I've never heard of.I bought a yellow "pan" (like brownie size) this week end but it is so disgustedly dirty I can't show it. What size is a lasagna pan? I better get to looking this stuff up!

    1. Haha! My lasagna is 9x13" (marked #933 on bottom.) The one and only Pyrex brownie pan I have is a flamingo pink and was also super gross, brown, & sticky when I got it! I used oven cleaner to get it all shiny again. (Bar Keeper's Friend was not helpful at all.) Good luck - I'm sure you'll get it shiny again!

    2. Use oven cleaner! Spray it on, let it sit for a couple minutes and then wipe it off.

  5. Totally jealous of all your finds! Have been having a dry spell lately, no luck anywhere I look. May have to go to an antique store just to satisfy my craving!

    1. I don't know about you, but my thrift stores here have been terrible lately! $14.99 for an Early American 472? Outta their minds! I actually found most of these at a VERY reasonable antique store! (The Bluebird was $2!) Never hurts to check antique stores - sometimes the prices are great!

  7. Looove the balloons! So jealous of the Spirograph. Was it local or online? And where is the magical antique store with $2 bluebird casseroles?! I can't wait for the vintage flea coming up!! :)

    1. Balloons was local, Spiro was not. I think I got a pretty great deal on it, though. ;) I'm so excited for the vintage flea! I just posted an ad on Craigslist for it. Woot! We actually accidentally stumbled upon the antique store with great deals...{my mom got an entire pink gooseberry fridgie set minus the 402 lid for $14!} We were on our way to Holden to go to Second Time Around & saw a sign pointing to a building behind someone's house so we stopped for a look. Kinda sketchy, but totally worth it! She didn't have a ton of Pyrex, but it was priced great! :) Never judge a book {antique store} by it's cover - my new motto, haha!

  8. The Spiro makes me want to collect other colors,it's so fabulous! I bet if I found it I would have such a hard time selling it.
My number one is Balloons. I've never seen one here, not even in all the antique shops. I am always tempted to spend big bucks on it on eBay, but I never pull the trigger.

  9. Currently my #1 is a small turquoise square dip bowl... Well, also a butterfly gold lasagna pan! I cook bulk normally so lasagna pans would be great!

    Super finds!!!
