thrift therapy and pyrex

It was a thrift therapy kind of week for me.

I hit a few thrift stores.

Then my bestie and I hit a ginormous neighborhood yard sale (75+ homes, people.)

Then we hit a few more thrift stores.

Yep, thrift therapy at its best.

I snatched up the Royal Wheat Divided Promotional dish at the yard sales.

The 403 Town and Country came from Goodwill.

The 441 and 442 Daisy, 502 turquoise and complete set of Butterprint Fridgies came from Salvation Army (the Butterprint set was found earlier in the week).

These are my very first Daisy pieces. I've only seen them grossly overpriced at antique malls before. I also found a poor dishwasher damaged 442 Daisy at the same store. Poor thing. Actually, I like to think the dishwasher damaged pieces were work horses in the kitchen; their owners just didn't know how to take care of them correctly.

And yes, I will admit to being a hoarder with the turquoise and Butterprint.

You just can't have too many of those.

In my own Pyrexia opinion.

Feel free to pop on over to froog and doog for more vintage goodness.

Happy hunting!

  3. Thanks, ladies :) I couldn't believe the Butterprint was sitting on the shelf for a day and a half without getting snatched up. Guess I shouldn't question it, right? :)

  4. I really like the suitcase! On Easter, my grandmother pulled out a HEAVILY dishwasher damaged large butterprint bowl. Apparently my aunt used to take baths in it as a baby. Talk about a workforce!
