I still need to cut it, mat and frame it but I couldn't wait to show you guys. I think I'm going to do another one of my Primary mixing bowl set which will be much easier. lol I've just recently started collecting Pyrex, about 5 weeks ago but I've fallen in love. It's just a simple pleasure that takes me away (even if it's just for the moment) from the stresses of depression and cancer.
Here are some mugs/teacups I've been finding here and there over the last few weeks.
I have multiples of the SB and the BG but not of the CM or the SI.
Love that!! :) Bet you could make a small fortune painting pretty pyrex for all of us obsessed. ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Really? I've never sold anything I've painted before. I think it'd be fun to paint some of other peoples Pyrex.
DeleteI love them, and think of all the canvas sizes you can play with! :)
DeleteYour painting is amazing! It looks so real! I just started collecting about 5 weeks ago too! Isn't it so much fun? I'm sorry to hear that you are dealing with very serious health issues.
ReplyDeleteKeep painting, collecting Pyrex, and blogging. These things are good for you! :)
Take Care, Erica
Thank you so much! It is really fun and strangely satisfying. Thanks for your concern.
DeleteI will! :)
Love the painting! Seriously, you could sell them to Pyrex hounds! maybe you should consider an Etsy store :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting! I'd totally buy one from you! :)
ReplyDeleteYes...Yes I would buy a picture. You are very good.
ReplyDeleteI don't actually collect Pyrex even though I have a few pieces I treasure. But I had to be sure to comment to tell you that your painting is amazing!! Be sure to show us it in action where ever you hang it! Great job!
ReplyDeleteErin, I love the pyrex painting-you are truly a talented girl. SO glad you showed us-keep us posted, if you start an Etsy shop.
ReplyDeleteI think the price would be variable with framing. I could envision it on stretched canvas. I could see 2 in my dining room now! Even cooler if people could tell you what pattern(s) they wanted. I say go for it!

ReplyDeleteI think I'd let people choose whatever they wanted. If they wanted it on paper, canvas, stretched canvas, framed etc. I'd let people choose the patterns, not to mention the background color. All of this sounds like so, so much fun! I think I'm really going to do it. :)
DeleteWe are in the processes of relocating....as soon as i know if i know im going to have a kitchen and dining room big enough for my collection count me in for at least 2 11x14 canvas prints to display with my collection :) how ever will i choose the patterns **day dreaming of pyrex**
ReplyDeleteSounds like a plan! I'm setting up an Etsy shop and will update everyone when it's all ready. :)
DeleteI have started to collect the Corelle plates and cups with the Pyrex patterns as well. Is there a specific place on the web that you would recommend for learning more about them? I have a couple with the D handles but the other two I am unsure of... I am assuming one is a tea cup, but what about the kind that have that cute little handle that doesn't connect at the bottom?
