Pyrex art.

I completed my Spring Blossom mixing bowl set and I was so excited I decided to paint them to hang in my kitchen. :D Edit: I had no idea people would be interested in Pyrex paintings. I think it'd be fun and rewarding to do. If I opened an Etsy shop, would you guys buy from it? 100% Customized  Pyrex paintings, all would be originals. What do you guys think would be a fair price? This one is 9x12.

I still need to cut it, mat and frame it but I couldn't wait to show you guys. I think I'm going to do another one of my Primary mixing bowl set which will be much easier. lol I've just recently started collecting Pyrex, about 5 weeks ago but I've fallen in love. It's just a simple pleasure that takes me away (even if it's just for the moment) from the stresses of depression and cancer.

Here are some mugs/teacups I've been finding here and there over the last few weeks.

I have multiples of the SB and the BG but not of the CM or the SI.

  2. Your painting is amazing! It looks so real! I just started collecting about 5 weeks ago too! Isn't it so much fun? I'm sorry to hear that you are dealing with very serious health issues.
Keep painting, collecting Pyrex, and blogging. These things are good for you! :)

  6. I don't actually collect Pyrex even though I have a few pieces I treasure. But I had to be sure to comment to tell you that your painting is amazing!! Be sure to show us it in action where ever you hang it! Great job!

  8. I think the price would be variable with framing. I could envision it on stretched canvas. I could see 2 in my dining room now! Even cooler if people could tell you what pattern(s) they wanted. I say go for it!

    1. I think I'd let people choose whatever they wanted. If they wanted it on paper, canvas, stretched canvas, framed etc. I'd let people choose the patterns, not to mention the background color. All of this sounds like so, so much fun! I think I'm really going to do it. :)

  11. I have started to collect the Corelle plates and cups with the Pyrex patterns as well. Is there a specific place on the web that you would recommend for learning more about them? I have a couple with the D handles but the other two I am unsure of... I am assuming one is a tea cup, but what about the kind that have that cute little handle that doesn't connect at the bottom?
