Last night I got an email from a friend with this recipe. I know this has been around for along time but I had never tried it. My favorite candy is Almond Roca. This is easy and quick to make. It looks good in my pyrex dish. In fact it looked so good I took pictures of it.
Mystery Cookies (Almond Roca)
Line a cookie sheet with a layer of saltine crackers(about 40)
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
12 oz Chocolate chips
1 cup nuts (chopped)
Preheat oven to 350. Bring butter and sugar to hard boil over med. heat. Hard boil for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Drizzle mixture over crackers, spread as needed to cover crackers. Bake in oven until crackers bubble and float, about 3-5 min. Take out and cover with choc. chips. Let melt and then spread like frosting. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Cool and cut. Enjoy.
Oh, this sounds so good!! Thanks for sharing, I can't wait to try it. AND, it looks so good in your Pyrex!!
