My first primary

Hi!

Happy mid-January.  Hope nobody is going through the winter-blues.

The first primary I ever bought was a blue 401 – it is not perfect, but since I paid $2 for it at a flea market, I thought I'd take a chance.
So, inspired by other Pyrex lovers rescue stories, I tried to salvage it.
I forgot to take "before" pictures to show the difference, but here is how it looks now after lots of warm soapy water, baking soda paste and some elbow grease.

It’s marked 401 - 1½ Pt and I believe it dates between 1953 and 1968 (let me know if I’m incorrect please).

I think it’s pretty cute and was worth salvaging – what do you think?

  4. Two bucks is quite the score considering what you can get for an entire Primary set! It looks great.
