I went thrifting a lot more than I normally do this week. I think it was because I was stuck at home with a sick kid, so when I could get out quick, my car headed for the distraction of thrifting....so relaxing and fun! I found the two Crazy Daisy green bowls at the "cute little old lady store" down from our church. I must say...someone has told them about the demand for Pyrex...they jacked up the prices. I paid more for these then I should have, but I really wanted this pattern. They had a gorgeous casserole with a stand that looked like a promotional pattern I've never seen before. I drew in my breath at the price. $40. Are you kidding? At a thrift store???? It is amazing though. I will take a photo of it when I go back...I'm sure it will still be there at that price. The little Colonial Mist bowl was hiding at Goodwill for $1.99, and the Homestead pair, at Value Village, $6 for both. GW and VV are inconsistent in pricing...looks like I hit it at a good time! Anyone else finding the pricing inconsistent? I'm looking forward to garage sale season...cheap Pyrex! Have any of you had good luck at garage sales? Stacey Johnson at
