Thrift Finds for the Week!

I went thrifting a lot more than I normally do this week.  I think it was because I was stuck at home with a sick kid, so when I could get out quick, my car headed for the distraction of relaxing and fun!  I found the two Crazy Daisy green bowls at the "cute little old lady store" down from our church.  I must say...someone has told them about the demand for Pyrex...they jacked up the prices.  I paid more for these then I should have, but I really wanted this pattern.  They had a gorgeous casserole with a stand that looked like a promotional pattern I've never seen before.  I drew in my breath at the price.  $40.  Are you kidding?  At a thrift store????  It is amazing though.  I will take a photo of it when I go back...I'm sure it will still be there at that price.  The little Colonial Mist bowl was hiding at Goodwill for $1.99, and the Homestead pair, at Value Village, $6 for both.  GW and VV are inconsistent in pricing...looks like I hit it at a good time!  Anyone else finding the pricing inconsistent?  I'm looking forward to garage sale Pyrex!  Have any of you had good luck at garage sales?   Stacey Johnson at

These are my finds for the week!

  1. Great finds! My mom has good luck at estate sales finding pyrex. I love your mixing bowl collection!

  2. I found some good stuff at a rummage sale this week end. Very cheap prices. I left one bowl behind and am now sorry I didn't get hoo.

  3. I found some Spring Blossom this week too, it's one of my favorites!

  4. Nice finds. I just love mixing bowls. They're fun for serving things.
