finally found some

I've been searching and searching, but I have had the hardest time finding Pyrex in my town.

Seriously, I think it's all dried up, or been snatched off the shelf before I can get to it.

Case in point:

Good Goodwill

I went thrifting with my bestie yesterday and promised her I'd find her some mixing bowls. We were at Goodwill, looking through the skirts when I heard the unmistakable cling and clatter of Pyrex.

There was a women in the furniture department (of all places!) looking at a complete set of Woodland mixing bowls that were set on an crappy old TV stand.

The lady started walking away...I started dashing.

I got to the Pyrex a few seconds before another woman...I scooped up the bowls and turned around to see two women standing behind me, eyeballing the goodies.

My bestie came running over, acting as my back up, "Geez, you're going to get jumped," she uttered in amazement.

My prize for my bestie? A complete set of minty Woodland mixing bowls for $8. And it just happens she really likes this pattern.

I told her I'd get her some mixing bowls.

I also found two pieces at a vintage fair I attended. The Gooseberry 441 completes my set!!

Please visit my blog: froog and doog to see my other (awesome) non-Pyrex finds.

Happy Hunting!!

  3. Good for you! Sometimes, you just have to be in the right place at the right time. Woodland is such a rich pattern (I love the brown)!

    1. I know, right? This was one of the pattern I ideally wanted to find for my bestie (she likes browns and greens and nature inspired), so I was pretty excited. She was, too:)

    1. I don't! I was wondering the same thing. I asked around on Flickr, but haven't heard anything yet. I need to post it on thrift collective, too. When I find out, I'll let you know :)
