I was taking a break from Pyrex-ing. Then my Mom sends me a link to a Craigs List ad, a full set of pink gooseberry cinderella bowls for $10. It took me a couple days to get in touch with the seller. My Mom went and picked them up for me because they are on her side of town ( Which with Las Vegas is a 40 minute deal ). She said the woman got them as a wedding gift in 1957. They are in amazing shape besides a scuff on the 442.
For no reason I mixed them with my black and white.
Our ( my Hubby and I ) good friend's Mom got this for me out of the blue. BG 933 :D
How was your weekend? :D Any luck?
Love that Butterfly Gold - I don't often see pans like that - I have a lime green one, maybe I'll find another one some day....
ReplyDeleteI know, it's amazing. She just said she had some "gold pyrex" for me. When I saw it I flipped.
DeleteLove the pink, but when you stacked it with the black-Wow! I love watching your collection expand!
ReplyDeleteI know, it's very interesting looking.
DeleteThank you! My Husband is a little miffed by how big it's gotten so quickly. lol

Yes it is and yes it was. Those are my favorite types of people to buy from. Who really loved it and are letting it go cheaply to a nice home. :)
DeleteSo, you weren't hunting for Pyrex but it was apparently hunting for you! I love it!
ReplyDeletegreat find! hurray for mom's!
ReplyDeleteYay Moms!
DeleteWhat a great find! And since you asked about our weekend, this weekend I went to two stores in my town and got a Pyrex haul. I just started collecting. I found a 1 pt. Butterfly Gold, the complete set of four (440-444?) Shenendoah Cinderella bowls, and a faded Spring Blossom Cinderella bowl 442, plus a few pieces of Corning Ware, which I also collect. I'm new to Pyrex collecting but now I'm hooked.
ReplyDeleteSuch an awesome haul for one weekend.
