Cleaning house, bye bye Pyrex!

Sad day but I have decided to clear out my house of some unwanted pyrex and other goodies.

Uh I may shed a tear.

Or not, leaves room for more new goodies for me!

I may or may not get a booth at a local mall. I have been toying the idea for a while. I just don't know how that works. Anyone have any tips?

  1. If the rent ins't nuts, do it! It's super fun and after a little while it will pay for your keepers. They will typically charge you a small commission fee or credit card fee. Mine charges 10% of the sale. Another one I was at didn't charge anything, but their rents were really high.
So then you sell stuff, and they cut you a check, typically twice a month. It's that easy! As far as taxes are concerned, they will give you a 1099 at the end of the year if your earnings are over $600. Just claim that bad boy and you're good!
    Good luck!!!

  2. Also, shop around- go to a couple of different places and find out what the rents are and what other dealers sell. Try to find a place that you would like to shop at; chances are your merch will fit right in.

  3. I wonder if I'll ever have enough Pyrex to get rid of...

I plan on having a booth one day. everyone tells me to make sure you have LOTS of stuff- that way, you're not panicked to refill it.
