Happy Almost Spring!

I am so happy to report I found a little pyrex here in SoCal.  

It has been dry, or maybe I just haven't been looking for a while. 

And yes while not all of this pictures is Pyrex, the Fire King is awesome with the duel candle warmers. 

I think I perfected the "Walk & Stalk" with the pink square baker.

Doily

I am back.  Where have I been? I took some time off to focus on myself and my family.  I am down a total of 38.6 lbs. I have a sparkling clean house. I am working on the science fair project my kid wanted to do and I have been spending time with THH whenever I can.

Now this does't mean I haven't gone thrifting. I have. Not as much as I normally do, but I have gone out a few times. Slim pickens here.

One day I did manage to find this doily bottom.

Now I Knew I had seen the lid for sale somewhere. I couldn't remember if I saw it online or in person.  I messages my pyrex lady on Facebook thinking i saw it at her house in her sell pile. She did have it. And sold it to me. While I was there I found the Forest Fancies 472 that I needed to complete my set. So I killed 2 birds with one stone!

Not much else around lately. Oh well a little is better than none right?

Autumn Harvest - Complete!

I love the brown colors of Pyrex. 

 I had a little christmas shopping to finish up and since I was told I could not come home until I was called due to the boys wrapping gifts, I took the time to hit up a few thrift stores.

I managed to finish my set of Autumn Harvest.  I found the little 441 a while ago at Goodwill. Then I last weekend I found the 444-442 at Salvation army paied with a woodland 441. 

Score for me! I like the set all together, it just screams "go jump in the leaves."

PIA - Thanksgiving 2013

So I anticipate there will be many Pyrex in Action posts due to the American Thanksgiving yesterday. 

I love cooking my Pyrex. 

 This is one of the few times I use my Napkin rings. They are one of my favorite Corelle items. 

And of course I used a variety of different patterns.  From Snowflakes to Verde and Old Orchard. I used a little bit of everything some love on my table. 

Everything tastes better in Pyrex, don't you agree?

Treasure My husband Hates - Thanksgiving 3013

Sqaure Flowers!

I want to know if I am the only one here who does this.  Then I go to post on my personal blog I always come here to show you all. But I won't post if someone had posted say an hour or two before me. So I wait a day. Giving the Pyrex Community time to really read and look at all the pretty stuff. Am I weird? Like I don't want t take the spotlight way from the last person that posted only a few hours before I wanted to. 

So in case any of you didn't see my personal blog post over at treasuresmyhh.blogspot.com yesterday, My month long drought has been broken.  We all know the feeling of joy when that happens. 

This 503 Square flowers is what broke it. And it was priced just right.  Yeah no lid, but at this point I was happy to find anything I needed/wanted.  I was so happy, it even got a "in the car" picture.

Any of you having a drought I hope it lifts soon.

My September Finds

Here's some of the pieces I found this past month...

We usually go to the thrift and antique shops a few times a week, but life has just been super hectic lately and we're down to about once every other week! 

I feel like I'm probably missing out on a bunch of awesome pieces!!!!

Orange Harvest Wheat Casserole

I check the local thrift shops frequently and haven't found anything for a couple of weeks.  I was getting ready to leave the local Goodwill empty handed this afternoon after going up and down each glassware aisle three times each.  Something told me to look around some more, so while digging around in some wire basket shelving in the furniture area I found this under some curtains and stuff.

This is my first piece of this pattern and I love the rich orange of it (the picture doesn't do it justice).  It has either seen very little use or was very well taken care of.  The color is beautiful with no scratches (except one on the bottom) or fading, and it was the normal price for this Goodwill $3.25.  Now I need to find a lid.

JAJ Pyrex

Just a little piece I'd like to share with you all!  I picked this little beauty up from one of my husband's tattoo clients in NC. He knows I really like Pyrex (what an under statement! haha) and shipped it to me! So very kind of him, and I absolutely love it! I'll be posting a little update on my collection later today on my blog, so be sure to check for that! I hope everyone has a great weekend :)
