A few estate sale finds!

Estate sales have been pretty good around here, as far as Pyrex goes.  I have managed to stop by a few the last couple of weeks and found some pieces that I did not have and left several behind for other collectors!

The Verde loaf pan and Snowflake Blue baking/lasagna dish were at the same sale and once again oven cleaner and elbow grease revealed their beautiful color and shine! I was quite thrilled to find the Pink Desert Dawn 1 1/2 quart baking dish. It is such a pretty color and even the cashier at the estate sale commented on pretty is!

Even though the Homestead pattern is not as old as others (1976), this is the Pyrex that I remember seeing in my mom's kitchen while growing up.  I think it is a pretty pattern and I can clearly remember the summer of 1976 and all of the bicentennial celebrations and summer picnics we attended.  Probably with lots of Pyrex on the picnic table, soon to be collected by someone years down the road!

And finally, these two very much loved Cinderella bowls (I believe they are from the Daisy set), were found by my husband.  He had a sign catch his eye on a Saturday afternoon and had to stop!  You can read on my blog, The Vintage Shelf, all about what he found for himself that really made his day, along with bringing these bowls home for me!

  1. Wow!!!! What a great haul! I'm especially drooling over the Blue Snowflake pan! I've been picking up some Homestead dirt cheap lately though I'm not that crazy about it--it seems to be growing on me!

    1. I was really happy to get the Blue Snowflake pan! Those pans seem hard to come by and they go quite high in the antique stores...I was fortunate and got this one for $8!

  2. The snowflake pan is quite nice! I found a desert dawn at the thrift store, I thought it was covered in grease and grime... granted it did have some. I scrubbed it forever and finally gave up. Months later I read about desert dawn lol. it was $2.
