Pyrex 043s If You Please

Hey, all.

I finally dusted off my camera and kicked my creativity into gear (into first gear, at least).

My collection of 043s wanted a family portrait, and I just couldn't deny them.

It's been so sparse in the Pyrex hunting business around here as of late. These are my finds from July 21st - September 30th. The Cinderellas were gifted to me...so that means I only found the two 043s (Blue Doily bottom and Basket Weave/Wicker Weave bottom) and mugs in the wild.

Yep, it stinks.

But at least I found those, right?

Please visit my blog, froog and doog for a few more photos, including photos of a sad muppet.

Happy Hunting!

my updated pyrex display of goodness

Hey all, I wanted to stop by and share my updated Pyrex shelf with you!

Updated Display

These are my favorite shelves....

Is it silly that this stuff makes me so happy?

Nah.

Flock of Turquoise

I recently found three minty turquoise bowls (402, 403, 404) at an antique mall for a great price.

Of course I had to bring them home and let them mingle with my other turquoise Pyrex.

Oh, and there's bulldog photos.

You can't say no to bulldog photos.

pyrex, of course!

Hello everyone! It's Lesley from froog and doog.

I wanted to stop by and share some of my Pyrex finds for the last few weeks.

And I'm sure you won't object.

I found the charcoal snowflake divided at a yard sale for a whopping $2. I couldn't leave it behind, no matter I already have one of these. This will definitely be re-gifted. I have a few people in mind who would love themselves some charcoal snowflake!

I met up with the Pyrex dealer again (you can read more details about it on froog and doog) and crossed two more of my must have's off my list: the 023 turquoise and 023 turquoise wheat. I was tempted to get the Butterfly Gold for myself, but ended up getting it for my sister-in-law, along with the 473 Butterfly Gold.

The Gooseberry? Yeah, I was very lucky at finding that for $2.50 at a thrift. I've never seen Gooseberry at a thift before, so color me surprised!

And the camera pulls back to show my vintage record cabinet I just made over. I just had to share how cute it is holding the Pyrex.

And the camera pulls back one more time to show the fairy tale scene. Actually, it's just my back yard, and I really need to do yard work.

Thanks for letting me share my finds with you all!

Happy Hunting :)

new pyrex pleasing display

This looks good, right?

There is a small problem with this, though.

This was my old shelf ("old" meaning I got it at the beginning of the year) I had to display my beautiful Pyrex.

My husband and I realized I wasn't going to get anywhere near fitting my whole collection on this shelf.

Big surprise, huh?

See what my husband surprised me with?

Meet my new shelf and display!! I fit almost all of my Pyrex on this shelf (there are two cradles and my everyday use Pyrex missing), and I still have room to add more! That is if I can find those few elusive pieces I'd love to add.

This was only half of my turquoise added to the shelf. My husband was worried it all wasn't going to fit.

I assured him I was excellent at Pyrex stacking.

There are a few more photos over at froog and doog if you wanted to check them out.

Happy Hunting!

friendship a brewin'

I was able to cross some of my most wanted Pyrex off my list this last week, and that makes me a happy Pyrexic.

I found the Blue Tulips 043 and Spring Blossom 933 at a Vintage Home and Garden Market last Saturday.

The seller let me know she had more Pyrex at home, including the 443 Friendship I mentioned I was looking for to complete my set.

After one e-mail and a million texts, the seller and I met up at the McDonald's parking lot to exchange goods for money.

I'm sure it looked wrong, but it felt right.

All in all, I received the above from the (AMAZING) seller.

These are all pieces I've been hoping to find in the wild.

I'm a happy camper.

My parents received the Friendship set as a wedding gift, and I grew up with the Friendship as being "Pyrex" to me.

I'm so happy to finally have a set of my own.

(Please visit my blog froog and doog to see what other nifty vintage things I found this past week)
