My husband was laughing at me the other day, I was watching the old TV series Hazel-and had the video paused while I referenced my Pyrex guide book to make sure I was identifying the pattern on the screen correctly. He said "you have lost your mind over this stuff." It really does draw you in, doesn't it?

I totally agree with the baking and the pyrex, my brownies come out incredible using my flamingo pink baking dish!Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08066711967134481582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1885547043931700313.post-85712406092962577022012-10-05T04:14:16.178-07:002012-10-05T04:14:16.178-07:00Yes, I am addicted! More for vintage jewelry though.
I have been going to thrift shops for the past 3 weeks now and I love it, you find awesome prices and get such a variety for Pyrex. I am actually going shopping today for Pyrex!Pyrex Junkiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15629815673781319449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1885547043931700313.post-29447366066748181672012-10-03T15:53:05.487-07:002012-10-03T15:53:05.487-07:00Thanks for sharing your funny story! I love that bowl...its so useful and durable. It's been microwaved, put in the oven, dropped, it was even once used as a projectile at my ex husband...and it still looks brand new. A year ago, on a whim I looked up the bowl to see about getting some more (I've always been a Pyrex fan) and discovered the world of vintage Pyrex. It's bordered on obsession ever sense. I got started in Pyrex collecting by buying a set of Primary Mixing bowls at a yard sale and now I'm trying to complete the refrigerator set. I also collect Butterprint, pink, and promotionals now... :)SusieQThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07472123869920926206noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1885547043931700313.post-438006580166087532012-10-03T10:06:38.877-07:002012-10-03T10:06:38.877-07:00Mine started so innocently. Little did I know that that cheap little bowl would lead me into an obsession :-)

Susie
Thriftables.comsusiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02645391463276243640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1885547043931700313.post-29997975046080089262012-10-03T09:37:27.777-07:002012-10-03T09:37:27.777-07:00I started slowly, when my husband's grandmothe...I started slowly, when my husband's grandmother gave me her 2 pyrex mixing bowls. One is Homestead pattern and one is the solid green one which I think is from the late 40's. And then my friend was collecting the Butterprint pattern and I got hooked on that one and starting collecting it also, (I still have the casserole dishes to get) and then I just looked on everyone's blogs on blogger and got hooked on collecting every Pyrex I can find!! I love it and I am really hooked!Pyrex Junkiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15629815673781319449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1885547043931700313.post-24752060376425857602012-10-03T09:21:49.976-07:002012-10-03T09:21:49.976-07:00My first piece came with my hubby when we got marr...My first piece came with my hubby when we got married. We have had the large primary yellow mixing bowl for over 31 years. Then last year I decided I wanted to do a country kitchen and start collecting. My first items once I started collecting was a set of spring blossom mixing bowls. My sister got them for me last November and I've been addicted ever since.
